Lewis Hamilton – 105 Wins
Hamilton entered F1 with the 2007 Australian Grand Prix, and it is hard to believe, but he nearly won the championship in his rookie season, missing it by just one point. But he didn’t stop. Before Hamilton came along, Michael Schumacher was in a league of his own when it came to F1 dominance. He made the racetrack his home at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix. ‘The Red Baron’ finished with 308 races, 91 wins, 68 poles and 1566 points. He won two championships with Benetton, but his Ferrari years were when he hit his stride, completely changing the picture of what sustained supremacy in Formula 1 could look like.
Schumacher joined Ferrari in 1996 and finally took the title in 2000. Then came five championships in a row and 48 wins over the next five years. Add his 155 podiums to the equation, and you can see why his record was so difficult to beat. Max Verstappen – 65 Wins
Verstappen had barely spent a year racing cars when he reached F1 for the 2015 Australian Grand Prix, but he was already turning heads. Sebastian Vettel – 53 Wins
There was a stretch when Sebastian Vettel looked “almost impossible to stop.” His F1 career began at the 2007 United States Grand Prix, and his first three seasons brought nine podiums and five wins. Then Vettel hit another gear, winning four straight championships from 2010 through 2013 and becoming the youngest world champion at the time. Alain Prost – 51 Wins
Alain Prost began his F1 career at the 1980 Argentinian Grand Prix and eventually became a four-time world champion, winning titles in 1985-86, 1989 and 1993. His final record included 199 races, 51 wins, 33 poles and 768.5 career points.
Prost’s meticulous style was never simply about raw speed; he used precision and race intelligence to “stay one step ahead.” That approach helped him become France’s first F1 world champion. And when Ayrton Senna entered the picture, Prost found himself in a rivalry that was “anything but straightforward.” Their battles became one of the defining chapters of his career.
Prost kept “raising the bar” as his career progressed, passing Jackie Stewart’s record of 27 wins in 1987. The following year, McLaren won 15 of 16 races, a season that showed just how strong Prost and Senna were. Prost eventually called it a day in F1, but not before taking his fourth and final championship with Williams at 38 years old. His career had come full circle: from his 1980 debut to four world titles, 51 wins, and 33 poles.
